Welcome to Adversarial Survival!

You can call me Rot, and this is my personal website where I keep an archive of all of my work—fiction, non-fiction essays, and documenting any fiber arts experiements I undertake.

I have so much of my writing scattered across the internet at this point that I’d rather collate everything in one place, so that’s the point of Adversarial Survival.

There’s a lot of ink spilled on analyzing our various societal ills, but I feel like very little of it gives us any solutions, or even gives us any idea how to mitigate immediate damage. So I’ll be focusing on everything from the broadly global to the hyperlocal. As I accumulate essays, they’ll be organized by category, such as Urban Development, Foreign Policy, Labor Rights, etc.

I also have some original research and reporting in the works, so keep an eye out for that!

Disclaimer: I’m a complete stranger, so I recommend that you double check all of my political work. Hit me up on tumblr to request updates, corrections, or addendums. I welcome any person requesting in good faith!

My fanfiction and original fiction will be hosted externally on AO3, so keep that in mind. It’s a better reading platform for fiction IMHO. If you don’t already have an account, I highly recommend it. I might publish them on here as they’re finished in an edited and collated version. We’ll see.

I’ve formatted all of my essays very carefully, and they’re best read on desktop. I’m trying to figure out the CSS to make it mobile-friendly, but I’m an HTML/CSS newbie. Thus, that might not happen for quite some time. I apologize if my modified Chicago-style formatting on the side makes it impossible to read on mobile. I would try the reader mode that Firefox and Chrome have to see if that helps fix it.
